A FAMILY ESTATE
Sympathetically restored and renovated to include many of the distinctive architectural features, Greentrees offers a time-honoured setting but with an innovative and contemporary feel. The original 17th-century farmhouse was destroyed by fire in 2002 and the chimney is now the only part standing. It took four years to design and build a new house on the brow of the hill taking advantage of the exceptional views.
The walled garden
A single rose flourished on one of the walls enjoying the sheltered location. We thought, it would be an ideal place for a walled garden with the obvious solution being to reinstate the barn as a hall overlooking the garden as a stand-alone unique wedding space.
The Grand Oak Hall
The Grand Oak Hall was erected from an oak-frame using original construction methods. We were so pleased with the result, that we decided to create an exposed ceiling in the bridal suite using timber from a recently fallen oak tree on the estate.Â
Bar & Lounge
Crafted from the original stable block and using rescued brick and beams the copper topped bar and plush velvet sofas encourage your guests or delegates to relax over a drink or two from our well stocked bar as the sun set across the valley.
The Oak suite
The secluded Oak Suite is the perfect hideaway to get ready and relax before the event begins. Set away from the rest of the accommodation to provide privacy, there is a getting-ready space, an outside wood-burning hot tub plus a sauna and treatment room.
